Secrets Vault closes €400,000 round backed by Bcombinator VC II

Barcelona-based startup Secrets Vault, founded by two of the creators of Scytl, has successfully closed its first round of investment for 400,000 euros, with the backing of Bcombinator VC II and a group of business angels. This capital injection will allow the company to accelerate its international growth and further develop its innovative digital security technology based on visual cryptography.
🔒 A new era of digital security
Secrets Vault responds to an urgent global need: to protect sensitive information in an intuitive and secure way. In a world where passwords are increasingly easy to crack, this startup proposes a revolutionary solution: replacing traditional passwords with images.
With this technology, users can access, protect and share sensitive data without having to remember complex combinations. Use cases include the protection of:
- Passwords and access credentials.
- Confidential documents and contracts.
- Private photographs.
- Cryptowallet seed phrases.
Encryption occurs directly on the user’s device, guaranteeing absolute privacy and allowing information to be protected by simply associating it with an innocuous image. This means that even non-technical people can shield their data in less than five minutes.
⚙️ State-of-the-art technology
The development of Secrets Vault has been led by Jordi Puiggalí, co-founder and CTO of the startup, a recognized IT and cybersecurity expert with more than 30 years of experience, 49 registered patents and more than 50 published scientific articles.
Its innovative protocol combines:
- Advanced image processing.
- Homomorphic encryption.
- Zero knowledge tests.
- Multipartite computing.
“Our goal is to simplify the protection of sensitive data without compromising security. With our technology, users can manage their critical information and share it securely using images, without relying on complex combinations of characters,” explains Gerard Cervelló, CEO of Secrets Vault, a cybersecurity expert with more than 25 years of experience and holder of five patents.
